This is the way it works....you go to prefs to three houses and you can end up with one of the three. She is lucky she got a house because lots did not. The days of our rush in the 80s have changed so much - back then there were not near as may legacies as many mothers of college students in the 80s had not gone to college. Now, most mothers have gone to college and many were in sororities. You can't extend legacy preference as much anymore. Its just the fact of life. sorry ladies.
