Can anyone please help me out or give me advice on this topic. I just finished my freshman year at FSU and rushed a fraternity in the fall. I thought it was a great fit for me and met amazing people through the process. I went through the entire pledging process and it took up a lot of my time. I got close with a few guys in my pledge class, but never really found the time to meet the older brothers. Of course I knew who everyone was and they knew who I was, but never really had those conversations you should be having with your fraternity brothers. I've had good times there, but I just know this isn't the fraternity I'm supposed to be in. I talk to about 10 guys and have close friendships with them out of 150...which I think defeats the point of being in a fraternity because you're supposed to be comfortable with most of the people. I know it's unrealistic to be friends with all 150 or so, but I feel like I should have more things in common than with just 10 people. I put myself out there trying to meet them this semester, and I still don't feel like it's the right place for me. If I drop, I won't have any friends at FSU since everyone I know and my social life revolves around my fraternity. Staying in it won't be awful, but I just don't know what to do at this point because I know I could be happier some place else. Did this happen to anyone else and what did you do about it? Thank you!
