There are multiple reasons why a sorority may elect to take a spring class and they are not always due to girls dropping. This can be a result of early graduates, internships, study abroad, finances, grades, time management concerns and deactivations along with drops. Taking a spring class whether 3 or 25 requires a lot of work for a chapter and expense so some elect to wait until fall. Generally speaking most houses that elect to do spring break have already preselected those girls and really want to grab them before fall rush comes around. It’s absolutely not a bad thing at all and good for those houses that openly honor their new members.
