Taking into account a PNM’s gpa and extracurricular’s helps the sorority assess if the PNM would be able to balance her time commitment to her classes with that of the time commitment to the sorority and succeed with all. Having a lower gpa before joining a sorority might be a cause for concern. Doesn’t matter what your major is. And yes, you might get dropped by some houses despite being a sparkling conversationalist and an on trend dresser, if, as a sophomore you have a 3.2, because there will be an equally accomplished sophomore with a higher gpa to take that spot. That is why we are saying give it your best shot, look for the best in each chapter and be open to them all.
