GPA matters, but in this case all 17 houses are within 3.4-3.6 or a B+ letter grade and therefore not really statistically significant. That doesn't negate the accomplishments in any way of any house it's just not the best measure in differentiating houses you may fit in. I think it's only one of many components to consider when rushing, the most important being the girls you meet in the house and how you vibe with them.
