1. Have your mom find out the legacy policy for her sorority. Many of the sororities changed theirs in the last two years, to be "woke". Many are not recognizing a legacy anymore. 2. Be nice and act interested at ALL the houses. Don't burn any bridges, because for most of recruitment, the sororities are in the driver's seat. 3. If your #1 disappears from your invitations, find a new #1 for yourself. Do this every day, if need be. 4. Don't listen to or participate in tent talk. It's just gossip, rumors and its petty, and most often, not true-steer clear of it. 5. Don't compare your invitation list to other girls. Just find a way to be grateful for the invitations you have received. 6. Be the girl who lifts up everyone's spirits. 7. Stay hydrated. Bring an umbrella. Bring comfy shoes to wear as you walk from one side of campus to the other (because your invitation list might have your at SDT, then DG, then Phi Mu, then Pi Phi, etc. (meaning you might be running-a lot!) 8. No matter how you feel about your pref invite(s)-attend pref. You might just change your mind about that/those chapters. If, after the pref parties, you are still not feeling it with the choices you have left, resign from recruitment. Do not sign your MRABA. Tell your Rho Gamma or contact Panhel and let them know you are interested in COB opportunities.
