The truth is that almost any fraternity on this campus can be as good as it wants to be. There's not that much difference in housing, and there are plenty of men who want to join fraternities. Sigma Chi was top tier for a long time and they want to be there again, so they're working toward that. Some other fraternities in the mid or lower range aren't working that hard toward anything. They're happy where they are. Sigma chi has thrown down a challenge and so has Beta (I know there's an anti-Beta feeling, but they're not really bad). Kappa Sigma made a move this fall with 90 pledges, but then they had to go and screw it up. You look toward the top and you see Pike, Theta Chi, KA, SAE, even Sig Ep. Any fraternity at FSU can be in that league if they're willing to make the effort.
