Five sororities went out of business and lost their houses when their membership dropped. Alpha Xi Delta's house was on Park Avenue. They sold it to Lambda Chi. Eventually, Lambda chi sold the property to the College Avenue housing complex. Alpha Omicron Pi sold their house to Sig Ep. Sig Ep moved and sold the lot to Alpha Phi when they returned. That's where the Alpha Phi house is now. AOPi came back and built their current house on Pensacola. Alpha Phi sold their house to the University. Eventually they came back and built on the lot where then old AOPi/LXA house was. Sigma Sigma Sigma sold their house on Jefferson and a series of different fraternities and sororities have occupied it. Sigma Kappa still owns their house. It has been occupied by ATO, SAE and Sigma Chi. Currently the Kappa Sigmas are in there. Sigma Kappa, Alpha Xi Delta and Tri-Sigma never returned.
