Spear really is very old, from back at the beginning of the 1900s before Florida State College became Florida State College for Women. If you look at any of the big fraternities’ websites or Facebook or Instagram pages you will never see Spear mentioned. It is forbidden and if a fraternity violates it they won’t get any more members tapped that year. Once a year they all show up at the Clock & Seal Banquet.
