Dirty rushing undermines the concept of open fair and equal opportunity for new membership (supposedly) but the real reason is money! Think about it. Over 3500 girls pay $$$ to go thru formal rush. That would disappear if sororities openly pre bid embers. The ironic thing is most houses already know who they are most likely to bid before rush.
