Spear is very old. It was created back at the turn of the 20th century at Florida State College. Kappa alpha was the only fraternity on campus then, but they founded it along with KD sorority. Spear membership is secret but very diverse today. They control campus elections and other student leadership. Fraternities are not allowed to publish which of their members are in Spear. The annual Clock & Seal Banquet is theirs.
