Don't immediately assume you will not fit into one of your pref houses. Just because you get a bid does not mean you have to initiate. Give it a shot for at least a while, many many girls (myself included) end up happy once you meet your pledge class and get to know more people even if they weren't sure on bid day. And don't assume if you SIP and don't get a bid that rerushing will get you a "better" result next year. It may, but it's not certain.
