Does it have a big impact on your future? That depends on what contacts you develop in college. Sometime, yes. Some fraternities are really serious about this. Theta Chi at FSU is one. Pike is one. So is ATO. I'm sure there are others. I'm not a Theta Chi but they have four alumni on the FSU Board of Trustees. Four! And they're all active alumni helping their chapter. Pike alumni are incredible. ATO is strong in governmental lobbying. President Thrasher is a Sig Ep from FSU and Sig Ep has a lot of powerful alumni. So the answer is yes, it can be a huge factor in smoothing your pathway.
