There is a specific method for beginning any new NPC chapter on a campus, as listed on the npcwomen.org website. Some NPC groups list their general criteria for possible colonization on their public websites. Factors NPC groups desire in colonizing on a campus may include but are not limited to: increasing PNM numbers (ours have dropped); a large number of local alumnae available to serve in advisory positions to the colony/chapter; academic quality of the institution desiring the colony; availability of housing and/or meeting rooms for said colony. This year, and for the next few years, there will be a smaller number of new NPC chapters colonizing due to the smaller number of young students available to join on many campuses.
