I'm a senior who joined a sorority back in freshman year. Recruitment is happening apparently so just wanted to offer my 2 cents. Greek life also has changed a lot since I rushed so take it with a grain of salt. Of course greek life has a lot of flaws but looking back I 100% do not regret my decision to join. Being in a srat is a great way to meet people and to have a very solid community early on in college. If you're in SEAS or Barnard it really helps you meet people outside your school. I want to emphasize that greekrank is toxic. For girls who are in sororities already it's SO easy to tell which chapters are spamming all the time. Just go with your gut. Reputation doesn't matter. Mixers are fun but at the end of the day you want to be with girls who you vibe with, and having a great group of girlfriends who you can hang out with casually is so much more important than whether you're in the so-called "most popular" srat. Also we wont be having parties for a while lol. In freshman year I chose the top srat that year because I wanted to go to better parties and tbh i wanted a confidence boost, but I have regretted that decision a lot. Pay attention during your parties, be open-minded and choose your favorite based on the girls you meet, not the bs you see on greekrank. Happy rush y'all
