Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it Columbia policy like many other schools that every girl who goes through recruitment gets a bid (as long as they maximize the number of options they put down?) The number of girls each house gets is (or at least used to be idk what happened this year if people got completely cut) determined by an algo so if more girls finished, each chapter woild keep more girls. In past years, having two few sororities hasn’t been an issue bc gphi/aopi couldn’t meet quota. Also, no one is forced to drop, it’s just super sad that the culture at this school about greeklife makes people not want to join bottom sororities. Also regardless of how many houses there are, there will be a bottom and if there aren’t more girls finishing recruitment (ie no COB) it’ll be hard to institute new chapter...
