Lol ok dg and theta are literally defined as top houses because they go off of wealth, popularity, and looks. If that upsets you, join one of the other chapters on this campus that don't do that. You don't have to consider those two houses to be your top choice; it's just that almost everyone wants to be in those houses though because they represent wealth/status/popularity more than just simply "vibes". Plus tons of girls have good "vibes" but enough girls both have good vibes and the other things to fill up the theta/dg pledge class. Lists are made before rush because theta/dg compete with each other for the best of the best. Same with big promising (although that's super risky, but lol who's gonna report dg/theta for promising them a bid?). In terms of barring rerushing, it's just that makes people look desperate for popularity instead of sisterhood and why would dg/theta want that when they have so, so many people to chose from?
