this is a little harsh but I agree, most do stick to "dropped once, dropped again" and if I were you I would just go in with an open mind and see what happens even if you think you may fit in there now, they are more likely to prioritize first time new members and first years, and may even put you at a disadvantage if they think you're only trying to be friends so that you can get in basically, choose to be part of a sisterhood that you would actually want to be part of and that actually wants you to be there instead of trying to force yourself into somewhere you don't actually fit
