You say that you are a freshman, which means that you are already here and that you probably know people in houses you could ask about rushing as a sophomore. Did you mean accepted as a freshman for this fall? You also did not say fraternity or sorority, but either way, bids are not decided based on Greek affiliation or how much money your family has. Your focus on these things and 'get into a top house' shows a real lack of awareness as to the rush process, how sororities and fraternities select their members, and the fact that every house here is good. Getting a bid to any of them would be great and you can do that if you change your focus to promoting yourself as a potential member properly. What do you have to offer that would make a house want you?
