completely agree with you. To add on, here’s my theory. there’s girls in every house who don’t like it, want to drop, etc. the difference is that in the top houses, girls who dropped are typically shunned, so that scares girls in those houses into staying. my friends who have dropped mid tier houses decided to drop because being in a sorority wasn’t for them and they knew that their friends in their sorority would still be friends with them after they dropped. Also, girls in top houses tend to not be the first person in their family to be in greek life, so their families are more supportive financially. if your parents are paying for it, why not stay just so you get the benefits of being an alum once you graduate? that’s just my take.
