The way it worked back then was completely different. You just took the girls you wanted with no quotas. So you would see pledge classes with 50 and some with 10. Obviously cannot survive with smaller pledge classes. I don’t remember all the details but really do remember feeling bad for sorority’s that had small pledge classes. Back then it had very little to do with any rankings and the houses earned their keep at Rush. Those big houses had tons of history and experience and had it down to a science like everyone does nowadays.
