Just wondering, That is a fabulous question. I would not do anything differently for myself. I have a great resume/grades etc. Coming from a non-Greek family, I wish I had known that PNM’s truly have no say in the process until pref…and sometimes not even any choice there either. The U of A doesn’t do a good job of preparing PNM’s for this fact. I was led to believe that it was more of a mutual selection process. U of A Greek Life should be upfront about the fact that PNM’s really don’t have much say in which sorority they join, and just please STOP with “trust the process” and “you’ll end up where you were meant to be”. How do you think a girl in a lower tier chapter feels when told that? It really is a blow to their self-esteem and really meaningless words to most of us. I don’t have any idea what could be done differently with actual recruitment with so many of us going through, but there has got to be a better way.
