It happened to me also. I had Chi O and ZTA on pref. I 100% knew which one I wanted, and planned for it. Opening that bid card and seeing the other sorority’s name on it was something you can’t possibly prepare for. Everyone around me was jumping up and down screaming with excitement, and I was standing there just floored. I couldn’t believe what had just happened. In an instant I had to redirect myself and run to my new house instead of the one I envisioned myself in. It was definitely hard and they were real feelings. I’ve learned to love my house, and wouldn’t change it even if I could now, but I didn’t have the happy bid day experience everyone sees on camera. It does happen, so don’t have your heart set on one because the same thing may very well happen to you.
