Can someone explain the ranking by PNMs versus the cutting by sororities? If a pnm ranks 1–11 with sorority X, Y and Z as place 9, 10 and 11 and X,Y and Z cut her then she gets 8 houses back, right? So how could a PNM get houses “back” that she’s ranked at the bottom? And what happens if pref is house A and B but neither put the PNM in their top list? Can you go to pref and not end up with a house?
