There are chi omegas at uark that do not have family members that are chi o’s. Yes, they have a lot of alumni support. The alumni help friends daughters ect… and also help to get girls cut that they or their friends don’t like. No need to over generalize as there a few pnm’s without connections that pledge chi o. Real reasons top houses stay top at uark! Biggest reason is Panhellenic and the number they assign the houses first round that they are required cut. If chi omega is required to cut far more than the other houses than that gives the appearance of being exclusive. They never even see how many pnm’s might actually rank them low. This is mainly done to protect girls from being quota cut at the end of the week and left without a house. This site is another reason. If you read chi o is top you may automatically hope to receive a bid from them just because it’s human nature to want something that is exclusive. Word of mouth. It’s super difficult for ranks to change so when I came my senior year for a visit there were several houses always mentioned as the “top houses”. Pretty much what you see on here…. Chi o, zeta, kappa, pi phi…. They also may add but my favorite house is KD or Phi mu or whoever they had the most friends in. Guys tended to have different favorite houses than the girls I asked. New houses have to wait to see who the top houses cut which is totally unfair to me. I am not sure what to do about the quota cut situation though….
