Here’s my advice to pnms. If the registration number is as high as is rumored, first cuts will be harsh. Don’t drop out of recruitment if you’re cut by the house you had your heart set on!! If you want to be part of Greek life do not drop out of recruitment!! If the numbers really are this high, odds are there will be no cob or spring recruitment and rushing as a sophomore is even harder. Go in on day one with an open mind and give each house a chance without prejudice or preconceived ideas. It’s been said time and time again but it’s true - there are amazing girls in every single house. You can and will find your people if you give it a chance. Top houses only mean they’ve been on campus longer and are more established. Those girls are absolutely not any better than girls in any other house and on the flip side, there is absolutely no girl too good for any house. Keep an open mind and open heart.
