my aunt is a chapter advisor on in one of the "middle tier" houses. She said greek life raised the chapter totals near the end of the week from like 400 to 425. So each house has to take some snap bids to get to close to chapter total or face a fine or something like that. That is why Kappa, Tri Delt, pi Phi and Chi O (yes, even chi O had to do it!) are offering snap bids this year along with the rest that usually do it. Definitely not your typical year for sure.
