Established houses feel threatened by newer ones, especially when they have new living quarters. I shouldn’t say all of them do but you bet there are girls who try to do everything they can via any way possible to keep newer sororities “in their place“ by labelling them “bottom.” It’s a dynamic that has played out for years on many campuses across the country when new houses colonize. It’s unfortunate really but just the nature of some competitive-type women, of which in Greek life, there are many. Recognize it for what it is and if you like DG, don’t be swayed by the opinions of low-minded girls who cannot feel happy about ALL sororities being good and attracting quality women. There’s others of us cheering you on to find the BEST chapter to call home for YOU. DG is a great choice for any PNM. Best wishes!
