Yes this year will be different and much much less stressful. I don’t know the details as they are still being worked out but I am assuming you won’t be in a room with tons of other girls opening up your schedule. That can be traumatic as some are jumping for joy and others are crushed. You won’t have these insane 12-14 hour days where you either running from house to house or sadly only have to 2 to 3 to go to and end up spending hours upon hours sitting on a hard floor with a coloring book waiting for the rest of your group to finish their houses. Your makeup won’t melt off in the heat and your hair won’t fall flat from the humidity. If you get cut ( especially from a top house) you need to know most likely it had nothing to do with the girl or girls you talked to. Most top houses know who they want before recruitment starts and focus on those girls. If there is a thousand this year going through ( don’t know the actual number) then they have their eyes set on 2 to 3 hundred maximum. With a few exceptions they will get who they want. Occasionally someone will talk to someone and jump and scream their name loudly enough to get them on that list but it’s rare. Most girls love all the girls they talk to but houses have to make cuts and that’s just how it is. If you have an open mind then it will be easier on you. The original poster is right though.... it can be brutal for some.
