This is def an example of how connections can hurt you esp if you’re from an area where there are a lot of pnms. Of those connections you had how many were in your tight knit friend group you hung out with? Just being friendly in class or church or lunch or whatever isn’t enough. There are too many NWA girls going through and those top houses will naturally pick their closest friends. So, it was a numbers game that probably hurt you the most. All the in house girls could have liked you but not enough to cry over, make posters about, and vow they will absolutely die if you are not her sister. Girls from outside the area have a better chance of having this relationship with an active. She may be one of just a few pnms from her hs area not hundreds. Again, it’s more of a numbers game than the fact you’re middle class. Even Kappa has tons of middle class girls. I’m glad you found your home and next year you will see it almost always comes down to numbers which is what makes every house here one to be proud of!
