FALL 2018 Female 3,130 Male 2,611 Total 5,741 At Bid day they announced that 93% of PNMS were given bids. That 1349 bids were given out in total. 1349 is 93% of 1450. So out of the 1450 girls who participated in recruitment 1349 received bids. When recruitment started it was stated that 60% of incoming freshmen were participating in recruitment. Total number of girls participating 1450 which is 60% of 2417. The difference between 3130 and 2417 is 713. The number of incoming freshmen is over 5000 for 2019 but exact total has not been released. Last year the total was projected to be slightly lower but still close to numbers from 2018. If the number comes in at 5000 almost the entire difference between 2018 and 2019 is female students. If scholarship money is factor in this drop that would mean it basically affected female students only. Now all these figures are based on the accuracy of information announced at bid day and prior to bid day. If the inncorrect information was given as far as total number of PNMS or the percentage given for participating freshmen then the figures can change. I would think any information Greek Life releases has little to almost none inaccuracies.
