The university has lots that they rent to Greek chapters. I’m fairly certain the chapter (house corporation) gets to choose the location from the available lots. Some spots are considered more prime locations due to being closer to the hub of campus, other houses, etc. Like others said, DG’s strong alumnae group definitely helped them get such a spacious lot and get their house up so fast.
