You are right this is a dumb and shallow question but I will answer 1. Were you really friends if they won’t talk to you based on what sorority you joined? 2. Like lots of high school friends that go away to college together- your interest change and you grow apart. This has nothing to do with what sorority you are in. 3. In college, especially your first year you are trying to fit everything in - classes, homework, football games, sorority, volunteer, etc. and there isn’t enough time for everything you want to do or to spend time with everyone you want to. So like everything else it is what you put in is what you get out So if that friendship is important to you and you are important to them the friendship will survive. It has nothing to do with the letters on your shirt or how others perceive them
