I think the best way to answer this is what do you want out of the experience? Joining a chapter through COB will put you in an already established chapter that will be more organized. There will be less opportunities for leadership experience. There may be more opportunity to participate in organized events with pan because the chapters do it every year. Next year you’ll have a physical house no matter what chapter you COB (if that’s important to you). Joining AGD puts you in a chapter that is not established but you get to be a colonizing member (which is pretty cool). They will be less organized and will already be looked at as a bottom chapter but everyone in the chapter will be in a similar position as you are (either didn’t rush or dropped). There will be opportunities to be in leadership positions because again everyone is in the same position you are. Pan was so welcoming at DGs bid day so you will get that opportunity.
