Because they’re new. This is just their 2nd pledge class. It takes time to move up the ranks at a campus with so much history. I’d rather be in a promising new chapter than a mediocre established chapter, and I bet a lot of the PNM’s who were amazing but not connected enough to get a top bid felt the same.
