PNMs take note. I know girls from my hometown who were all popular and smart and pretty in chi o, kappa, a o pi, Tridelt, and axo. All were desirable PNMs. Yes there are sororities that are always going to be considered top tier and it’s because they have been there the longest and have gotten that reputation bc they have earned it through excellent recruitments and getting the girls they originally wanted bc nobody cuts them bc of it. So they have their choice of girls. But they got those reputations a long time ago when recruitment was small. But you need to know going in is that with 1700+ girls going through everybody is a top girl. Everybody has good grades. Every girl is a cheerleader or a dancer or was in student government. Every girl was considered popular in their own high school and was on homecoming court or something else noteworthy. And so now all the sororities are filled with top girls and that has really leveled the playing field. The “top” houses would love to have any of you, but they can only take so many and it usually ends up being girls that people already in the house already know or have heard of or are legacies bc they can’t possibly remember everyone going through rush. That’s not to say an outsider can’t get in, but there has to be someone very vocal in house pulling for you. That being said to say this. If you get cut from one of those houses don’t take it personally. It’s not bc you aren’t popular enough or cute enough or rich enough. They just don’t know you. It’s not a reflection on you. Stop worrying why they didn’t like you. The girls that talked to you probably did. Like everyone says trust the process. With all the great girls going through and that have in the past few years each house has a lot to offer. Remember that. You are great and you will find a good house. Just be open minded. And don’t listen to all the haters on here trying to tear down one house in order to boost theirs. Some of them probably experienced cuts from one house or another and it hurts. And they are just wanting their sorority to be top too bc they know how great all the girls in their house are. And they are right. You just don’t have to take cheap shots at others to do it. You won’t ever see girls that are really confident doing that. They don’t need to. Strong women empower others.
