This whole "connections" thing is so stupid. I'm in a top house, and we take girls based on many factors. Knowing someone helps but you don't get invited back just b/c you know someone, and you don't get cut just b/c you don't. There are girls in ALL chapters who came into recruitment knowing no one (yes, even XO and Kappa gasp)! People like to try and make their sorority sound so "exclusive" but honestly, you will end up where you belong.
