Sororities will usually begin cutting girls below a 3.4 gpa. My best recommendation to someone rushing is to get to know someone who is in a house you want to rush, maybe someone from your high school, because the easiest and most sure way to get into a house is to have a girl from inside really rush you hard. Even if you don't know this girl very well, I'm sure she is looking to rush someone she knows even the smallest bit. You need to sell yourself to this girl and before May 4th because after that is when greek girls are not allowed to talk to potential new members. During rush everyone is obsessed with "top houses" but all the houses at Arkansas are phenomenal. There are of course going to be wild girls in each house...but being a "top house" basically just means it is the most established, has been there the longest, has a influential presence on campus, usually has a good gpa etc. At the end of the day really no one cares. All Greek life is pretty much the same. Join one with a philanthropy you can get behind because that is how you will stay involved.
