Poster Name:Alum from "lower house"

Ok so... As an alum from a "lower house" I can tell you it was a great adventure! I spent my entire undergrad in it and I loved it. I had a great big and was blessed with two littles who are still actives and wonderful ladies. The catch? I was a COB. I missed formal recruitment due to a leadership seminar where I had to be flown out to Cali for a competition. I still wanted a spot so I asked around. Only lower houses took COB so soon after recruitment. I wondered what house I would've ended up in had I gone formal but I took a bid as a COB and I'll admit it was so hard to get to know my PC. I joined 3 weeks after formal recruitment so all the girls had started to make bonds even before getting bids in their Gamma Chi groups. So I would've suggested at least giving them a shot. You could've dropped before initiation. Hell you could've dropped after a week if you seriously didn't make any connections. You didn't give them a chance. The girls who told you that you were in were essentially dirty rushing you. Maybe not to an extreme but they should not have said those things to you. It's not fair to you. I'll tell you, there is nothing low about MY chapter. Or any chapter. Any chapter at Arkansas is fantastic and I wish yo would've given them a shot. Try COB this fall if you want in, or kick some academic ass freshman year and join Alpha Gam next fall and THEN kick ass building up your chapter and the people in it. Good luck.
