a joke. knowing someone in a house definitely doesn't make you a shoe in. Rush at the U of A is a little harder than that. knowing someone, being close to that person, having a good reputation and being an impressive potential member all go together to change what houses you go back to. and all of that can even be forgotten when chance steps in. each house cuts girls for different things. some houses cut girls for bad reputations, others keep them. it all just depends on the house. and really, pledging pretty much any house here (with a couple of exceptions) is better than pledging a house at a university with sucky greek life. so give them all a chance.
