Subject:
opinion on off-campus fraternities

Poster Message:
First I'm not bringing in the relevancy or any of that crap to this, this is about what you should consider about off-campus fraternities. I know that one of the off campus fraternities might still have their charter. TKE? Correct me if I'm wrong. So hear is my take on off-campus fraternities: The liability of a non-chartered or non-recognized by the university chapter is through the roof. If you have joined or are a part an fraternity that had its chartered revoked, leave now! The ramifications of staying put you in grave danger. If something bad happens you are screwed! There is no nationals to bail you out. There is no insurance to cover things. If anything goes wrong it's solely on the 'members'. You may think that you have all this freedom to do whatever you want now that you don't have to be tied down with ASU or your Nationals, and you do; however just remember that with all this freedom comes great risk to you and your brothers. So take this in to consideration if you have recently pledged or are a member of an off-campus fraternity.
