here's the deal. you can go platinum blonde, get the longest eyelashes, fake nails, orange tan and trendy outfits and end up in a "top" house. but you need to understand that you're commiting to a certain level of maintenance or you will be bullied or made to feel inferior. yes, it's a competition and it doesn't end. tbh some girls love that and thrive on it. other's don't and it makes them miserable. they have to fake it all the time. that's why you'll see pretty girls in every house. some just don't want the competition or thought of putting on full make-up and either straightening or curling their hair every time they wear letters. not saying other srats are "less than" at all. some just have more relaxed rules and allow members to wear a ponytail and not have to worry about makeup when they put on a tshirt with a couple of letters on it! you really should try to choose a house where you feel comfortable, not just where you "aspire" to be. hope that makes sense.
