<strong>Subject:</strong><br />The Fraternal Version of Every Sorority<br /><br /> Poster Message:
In this list I paired every sorority with the fraternity I think they're most similar to. The sororities are listed in order of rank, and each pairing has a description/reasoning behind it. Every description has some good and bad in it, so calm down and don't get your feelings hurt if you don't like what I said about your house. Alpha Phi / DSig: Both aphi and dsig are known for their looks, and with Sig Ep gone most people now consider dsig the top house on campus. Neither aphi nor dsig is known for being too smart. DZ / Sig Chi: The craziest sorority matched with the craziest fraternity on campus. Both houses love to party, and both houses probably spend a little too much time on greekrank. Pi Phi / Lambda: Status and money draw girls and guys to these houses, as rich Scottsdale kids litter pi phi and lambda's chapters. Neither house is known for having good brotherhood or sisterhood, but both are top houses. AXO / PiKapp: Good at everything, great at nothing. Both of these houses are well liked and very popular, but neither can seem to break the barrier between being a good house and being a top house. DG / Chi Phi: Above average at everything, good or great at nothing. These houses are a lot like the ones above them, just not as good in most areas. These are still fairly popular chapters. Theta / KA: Two of the least liked chapters on campus, both Theta and KA think much more highly of themselves than the rest of greeklife. Neither is a bad house (both are above average), but both spend too much time pining for better houses that don't want much to do with them. KKG / Phi Tau: Both KKG and Phi Tau have a surprising amount of high quality members, but for every 8 or 9 these houses have, they also have a 3 or 4 to match. Overall, these houses are mediocrity at its finest. KD / Sig Nu: These houses aren't too similar (one is smart and one likes to party), but both are lower mid houses that are trying their absolute hardest to rise in the ranks. Although both can be very annoying sometimes, they have improved. ChiO / Delt: Although a Sig Nu and Chi Omega pairing would make sense, Delt and ChiO are much more similar in reputation. Both are well known and respected houses, although both have seen better days, and neither is necessarily popular at the moment. Notable fraternities that didn't get paired: Pike, Fiji, Kappa Sig, Sig Tau, Sig Pi, SAE, Alpha Sig. Pike and Fiji could be paired with AXO. Both are good fraternities, I just think PiKapp excels more in most areas, which is why I gave them the nod instead. If I absolutely had to pair KSig it would be with Theta entirely because both have fallen off a lot these past few years. Both are living off reputation more than anything else, I just don't see any other similarities between the two and KA made more sense to me. Sig Tau and Sig Pi could both be paired with KKG, but both fraternities are trending downwards and because of that I think it makes more sense to pair Phi Tau instead. SAE is a hard fraternity to pair because they only like to associate themselves with higher tiered sororities, while they themselves are a middle tier fraternity at best (if even). If I had to pair them it would be with KD, and that's really only because of similar rankings. Alpha Sig is almost identical to Delt. Both have seen much better days and both have struggled lately. Because of this I'd match them with ChiO, although I gave the nod to Delt because of better name recognition.
