In the Article....."UCSB fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa was shut down this week after allegations of hazing and serious misconduct, marking the second frat at UCSB to be terminated this school year. The fraternity’s national office deemed the closure necessary and, according to UCSB spokesperson George Foulsham, UCSB terminated its recognition of the local chapter, effective immediately." The national office was reportedly concerned because Phi Sig had several violations and considered the closure necessary for the safety of its existing members. The university is reportedly conducting an open investigation involving the frat and impacted individuals. 2 Fraternities, Beta Theta Pi and Phi Sigma Kappa closed within three months.
