ucsb is a great school and i've loved my greek experience! 1. ucsb rush is pretty laid back. it's just conversations and houses work very hard to make all pnms feel comfortable. 2. legacies are not a big deal and Panhellenic has removed legacy consideration from recruitment - unless you bring up your legacy status, chapters have no idea. 3. yes - many sophomores live in the houses, each house is different but there's usually about 50-60 spaces. 4. unfortunately, some chapters are notorious for pre-judging PNMs based on their instagrams. however this is rare, and as a whole it does not matter. all the houses here are great.
