Gonna try to address each point as honestly as I can. Drama: - Way more drama in Kappa, which is surprising because even 2 years ago it was considered the "chill" sorority. I have very close friends in Kappa (and Theta, for the record) and every week there is some huge drama and cattiness going on. That's not to say Theta DOESN'T have drama (tbh, every single sorority will have drama) but I have just heard way more about Kappa in terms of things going down. Personalities: - As someone mentioned above, Kappa is trying really hard to be a "top" sorority (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but that really compromises the general attitude of the sorority. Lots of nice girls but also a lot of cutthroat and hyper-competitive girls who will have no problem not acknowledging you if they see you as a liability to their sorority. Theta is very new and has very diverse members. It's not like Theta isn't trying to have a larger presence but they do so in a more positive way (campus involvement, philanthropy) and prioritize sisterhood and sorority happiness and closeness before putting others down (members or not) in order to be a "top sorority". Frats/Mixers: What @Kappa said above. However, while Kappa already has an established reputation, Theta actually had a great pledge class last year that allowed them to have mixers with some of the "higher" frats or athletic teams.
