There is the option to go through informal recruitment in the fall for the sororities that don't reach the quota of new members. If you really want to be in a sorority, I definitely recommend it! However, the GPA requirement is more to say that you shouldn't take on more than you can handle, and the school just wants to make sure that Greek life doesn't take away from academics. You being a freshman though makes me think that you may be being too hard on yourself! Many classes are curved and if you study hard for your finals/papers, you should definitely make s 2.5 :) Good luck! And I hope to see you during recruitment!
