Don't let the stereotypes decide which fraternity/sorority to rush. Find out for yourself, and you'll figure out which one is right for you. Guys: Hopefully you've gotten around to see what each fraternity is like during your first semester and have talked to some of the brothers. It's harder (but not impossible) to get a bid if the first time you've set foot in the house is during rush week. Girls: If you're still iffy on going through recruitment, just do it. You don't have to commit to anything yet, and you get to know a lot of new people from just going through the process. Keep an open mind as you get to know the sisters of each sorority, and don't try too hard. Unless you're ok having heels on all day, bring a pair of comfortable shoes to wear between rounds. In the end, even if you don't get your first choice sorority, don't let that completely ruin your college experience. After all, you might end up loving the one that you do get a bid from. You'll never know unless you give it a chance.
