short answer is nope. girls in sororities like to get to know girls ahead of time to see if they're a good fit. So if a freshman knows a lot of girls in a sorority, it could help her bc the sorority girls know her well and are familiar with her. However, it could potentially hurt her if they don't think she's a good fit. As long as you're authentic and friendly with the girls you meet before and during recruitment, you should be fine.
