Well IX now officially falls under the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, I heard in general that their most recent pledge class is not as great as pledge classes in the past. Basically all the appeal of being underground and secretive isn't true anymore, they're gonna have more regulations (not as much as the current Panhel organizations, but certainly more than in the past) and a real insurance policy (meaning more dues). I have good friends in IX and in other sororities, you'll find where you belong when you get here. It's hard to judge the vibe until you meet the people, and like any other sorority, they chose you.
